After the wedding

Well, our wedding came and went on March 22, 2009. It was everything we imaged it to be. We had a wonderful time and we hope everyone attended agrees. The following pages contain our photos from our talented photographers Adam Houseman and his wife, Z; and also contributions from Wendy's cousins Phoenix, Julia, and Raymond.
The whole wedding went by in such a blur. Here are some of the most memorable moments for Josh:
- Driving around Rembrandt Yard because I got there an hour early. It was one of those crisp mornings with a little bit of fog lingering about in the cool shady spots between the houses and under trees.
- Trying to fix the stereo in Wendy's ready room and hearing her walk in behind me. (I had to sneak out with my back turned toward her voice.)
- Waiting with all the men downstairs, listing to all the muffled commotion up stairs. My dad, my brother, Ping and I, all trying to figure out how to pin on the flower thing onto our suits.
- Realizing that we forgot to buy pop. Sending Paul to get us some, then Brent did the second pop run.
- Pinning the flower on my moms dress. She started to cry, and then I started to cry, and she said that she had a whole speech memorized, but now was speechless.
- Waiting for the cue by the doors to walk in. The funny thing is, I thought I would be anxious, or scared, or something, but I wasn't. I was just smiling like a fool. (I did however, send us all in too soon! So I must have been at lest a little anxious.)
- The next few moments were a bit of a blur. I don't really remember all of us taking our places, or what was said, or the music that was playing, however, everything went into slow motion when Wendy came out of the doors with her dad. I know it's cliche and pointless to say that she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, but it was true. She looked as exciting as a person that I'd never met before, and as comforting as an old friend I'd known for years; all at the same time.
- I remember Wendy taking the hanky out of my pocket and wiping her tears with it.
- The funny thing is, I don't remember saying "I do" but I remember running around all the people, first down the stairs, then back up through the back to the ready room. In the stairway I remember catching Wendy's eye for only half a second. There was something in that half second that made that image stop and stand still in my mind, and floats around in there still. It's my first memeory of Wendy as Wendy Coast.
The rest of the wedding was amazing. Of course I have many many more memories, but this list is getting frightfully long. It's going to have to suffice to say that Wendy and I will remember that day as one of the happiest days of our lives, and that we where so glad to be able to share it with our families and a few friends.
After the wedding, we had a honeymoon on a cruise to Mexico. Josh got seasick, but he had a wonderful time in spite of it. We took about a million photos, ate a bunch of fine foods, saw the sunset on the deck, saw a few whales, and spent a few pesos here and there. (Josh spent a ton of pesos!! That man cannot say no! The first offered price from the vendor is not the actual price!) It was such a great time, and now Josh can't say that he has never been out of the country.
We are presently settled in Thornton. We adopted a 9-month-old cat named Meow Meow. That is it; we hope this will satisfy any questions regarding offspring for now. So after meeting in high school, spending the next 12 years living separate lives, and finally meeting for lunch to discuss some graphic design work, here we are, living in the suburbs with our feline daughter, and married happily ever after.
Sincerely,
Josh and Wendy Coast
